BADFA Convention 2019 booking form - link in the newsletter

Members will have the November Issue (113) in their inboxes by now. There is a link to the members-only booking form, therein.

Those members who book early will qualify for a discount (on the members price - now there's a bargain!) (Details on the form).

Non-members - your booking form will follow in December and will be available on this blog - and on Facebook.

We are planning for an extra special, all British, event to mark our 25th Birthday, and we'd love to see as many members as possible join in the fun.

Any question, just ask.

Extra! Extra! Read all about it!

Makes me feel like a newspaper seller in the High Street.

But we can do better than that, the latest issue has been delivered, hot off the press, right into your very own inbox! The wonders of modern technology, eh! (This only applies to members, of course.)

Just to whet your appetite, there are photos of the classes for our Big Birthday Bash in May 2019. We'll be 25 years old, and it is an all British do, too.

Just as a 'heads-up', the event will be open to everyone - members get a special price, and get first dibs on booking their places - so make sure you are ready when the booking form appears in November!

Issue 108

The newsletter has been distributed to all those members who have opted in to receive it. Those
current members who have not received the newsletter must either:

a) Opt in from the email I sent to members explaining the GDPR, or
b) Email me at the editor's email address and ask to be included, or
c) Accept their fate and go without.

You really do want to read it - it has this year's convention report inside!

Until next time ...

Well, that's another year done. The next convention will celebrate our 25th Anniversary!

Once the committee has got its breath back, we'll get stuck in to the process of putting the 2019 event together. And as soon as I have gathered all the scandal details of this year's do, I'll send out a newsletter.

Ah! Talking of newsletters, all current members will have received an email from me asking for their permission (to OPT IN) to carry on using the email address they provided to contact them - including sending the newsletter - or to contact me to change their requirements.

Until now only 25 of you have opted-in. This means a substantial number of members won't be getting a newsletter. So, if you are one of those who have not, either forward the email to me to opt in, or email me (at the usual address) and tell me what you want.

Don't forget our BADFA On-line Facebook page, keep in contact and tell us what you are up to

I'm sure I'll get a few, "my newsletter hasn't arrived" contacts ...

Shara's Sunday Class

Hi to all those who are doing Shara's Sunday Class at convention - the Christmas hanger.

I have made all the sets of substrate that have been ordered, and I'll bring them with me when I travel up on Thursday. You will need to prepare the surface and add the pattern before class. I have drilled the necessary holes.

If anyone else wants a set, please let me know in good time, so that I can get them cut. (£7.50 per set)

2) - make nominations for committee posts
3) - make your reservation for Saturday evening group dinner
4) - renew your membership - Not a paid up member - no vote at AGM - AND no more newsletters!

But ... there is a free to download project pattern waiting for you.

Hope to see you at Crick!

The newsletter is out there!

OK Folks! The latest newsletter has been sent to members. I've called it Issue 104. It would have been the December issue, published in January, so to save confusion it's 104.

Anyway, there's not much to report this month, but there are a couple of exciting links. One to a committee nomination form, and the other to ...

The Convention Class Booking Form

(Please note the following errors on the booking form:

1 - Suz of Surrey Crafts should be Humphreys, not Humphries, and

2 - Suz's Friday afternoon class should read : Poppies, Rosebuds, and Blossoms)

We look forward to your bookings, and remember - it's first come, first served!

And as always, contact me if you have any questions.

Kim
