Attention BADFA Teachers!

Remember - at our 2018 convention we need to have some alternative classes to offer. So, you - our teachers - have the opportunity to showcase your skills.

You can submit either half or full day sessions - and those who are chosen will be handsomely rewarded.

See the latest newsletter for full details - and remember that the closing date for submissions is 30 November 2017.

September 2017 Newsletter is out!

The newsletter has gone out to all our paid-up members.

In this issue we have details of the projects Shara Reiner will be teaching at the 2018 Convention. There is also a reminder that we are inviting our teachers to put on supporting classes during the convention - not everyone will want to paint with Shara everyday - and if you are chosen to lead a class, then you will be paid.

So, members, just click on the link in your e-mail and read all about it - oh, there are holiday snaps in there, too!

Extra day for the Autumn Roadshow

For those going to, or thinking about the Autumn Roadshow at Clare's (see previous post), there is also on offer the chance to paint on Saturday 30 September, too!

For £40 for the day, Clare will teach her 'Cow' picture - same conditions as for the Sunday Woodland Scene - why not make a whole weekend of it and do both classes? Seems like a bargain if you are travelling from afar!

Contact Clare direct to book, or for further information. See previous post for contact details and how to pay.

While I have your attention - don't forget that members are invited to join our new closed Facebook group - BADFA Online.

July 2017 Newsletter is out - with Hot News!

Hi All,

Shara Reiner
The July newsletter has just gone out to our members, with news of the 2018 Convention guest artist.

We have booked Shara Reiner, from California, to spend three days at our convention. Details of her work can be found on her web site.

We are inviting our own teachers to lead classes at the convention, too.

The convention will be over the weekend of 11/12/13 May 2018. Full details of the event will be in the next newsletter.

ALSO - we have moved our BADFA Online community group to Facebook. The Yahoo! group was never popular, so we reckoned that Facebook would be easier and more accessible for members.

To join the group search in Facebook for 'BADFA Online' and click join. If you are a member, we'll let you in!

Looking forward to seeing you there!

Check out the newsletter for other events, too:

Suz Humphires will be at Hampton Court, Kirsty Allsop's Handmade Show, with You Can Folk It, and two more events at 'Let's be Creative' in Rogate.

Sharon Wolf, with a Ros Stallcup inspired bucket design, at Tilgate Park, Crawley

And a BADFA Roadshow in October, also at Tilgate Park.

Details in the news!

Thursday 20 July 2017

Gosh! It's July already!

Well time sure does fly!
But to be honest there hasn't been much news to tell you. The June newsletter is out, and you've all been reading it, but we do have a bit of Breaking News (as they say on the BBC).

The committee are meeting soon, and we will be announcing our big name, guest artist for the 2018 Convention. We just need to get a few bits of paper together to confirm, and then we'll tell you who it is!

I am particularly pleased because her style is different and refreshing - but come back soon and find out all the exciting details.

April 2017 newsletter is out

Just a quick note to let you all know the newsletter has been e-mailed to all members. If you haven't got yours, first check your spam folder, and if you still can't find it let me know.

Have a good read!

Another successful convention!

Thanks to everyone who came to our annual convention in Crick. Thanks to Peggy Harris and Suz Humphreys and Kim Moody for teaching great sessions. Thanks to Jo Sonja and DecoArt for their sponsorship. A great weekend!

We had three days of painting, fun, laughter, and companionship. We've spent time with old friends, and made new friends.

Now we start work on next year's event.

As soon as I get my breath back there will be photos and a report in the newsletter.
